Energy self-sufficiency in Cuban municipalities

Energy Green Gas Tineo is taking part in the Cuba-EU II Experts Interchange Programme as a company specialised in engineering processes and circular economies. Under the framework of this project financed by the European Union, during the first week of December 2020 two technicians from the company have travelled to Cuba together with a team from FIIAP who are coordinating the programme, for the purpose of exchanging experiences with local authorities and institutions, as well as helping in the development of energy self-sufficiency in municipalities in Cuba.
To this end, our work during the mission has focussed on the search for sustainable solutions for the recovery of waste generated by the Cuban hotel facilities as well as providing technical assistance with the biogas projects currently in development; helping in their evaluation and the use of biogas not only for the generation of electric or thermal energy, but also for the production of biomethane.
